First time here but my food was great and the employee friendly, I'll be back next time Im in town for sure!!

Everything I'm looking for in a BBQ joint. Quick service, no frills, good prices, and the pulled pork was incredible. Sides were good too, particularly liked the corn bread.

Quaint little dining spot. Tender smoked lean meats with tasteful bbq sauces.

Sorry but this is a true review by a foodie that is not the competition or anyone that has anything to gain from a bad review. Having said that I did UTTERLY waste $23 wanting to try a few ribs and brisket. As a few others mentioned, the brisket was actually a salty, weird tasting pot roast like substance that had NO smoke flavor at all. It was inedible. The ribs were meaty and properly cooked but also had a strange flavor with NO smoke! Since I was driving past and got it to go i could not bring it back. All but 1/2 an ounce (of 16) of brisket and two rib bones went in the trash at my next stop. If they would sell the "brisket" as a seasoned pot roast and dump a bunch of Baby Ray sauce on the ribs and sell both at half what they charge now, then you might have something that non-BBQ lover would like.

I read most of the reviews and elected to give it a shot. If you are looking for true smoked Pit BBQ this is not the place to go. I ordered a full rib plate with mac and cheese and collard greens and no drink to eat in and a pulled pork sandwich to go with chips. $12 would have been reasonable but $20 was outrageous especially when the ribs are cooked in a electric cooker, all be at a nice one about $18,000 worth according to one of the employees that I chatted it up with. At $2 per side order they should have been heaping but were modest at best. At the end of the day the place is not bad but it's nothing to write home about and certainly not for a True BBQ lover. As for the employees they were all extremely friendly and seemed like genuine people no problems with service at all.
